With everyone missing music at the moment, Tourism Ireland and Co-operation Ireland have partnered up to bring six school choirs from around Ireland together to produce a new short video.
The video which was released to coincide with International Youth Day seeks to remind people everywhere about Ireland and to provide a message of friendship and hope for the future.
The video brings together 48 students from six different schools to create one ‘virtual choir’ in performing the hit single ‘Dreams’ by The Cranberries together. They hope to inspire viewers around the world with their music and message of hope.
The schools taking part in the video are Moate Community School in Co Westmeath, Methodist College in Belfast, Presentation Secondary School in Ballyphehane, Cork, St Mary’s College in Derry, Blackrock College in Dublin and Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ in Limerick.
The video also showcases beautiful landmarks around Ireland including Fanad Lighthouse, Powerscourt House & Gardens, Trim Castle, Glendalough, Kilkenny Castle, Ben Bulben, the Peace Bridge, The Gobbins and Mussenden Temple.

Peter Sheridan, CEO of Co-operation Ireland, said: “We have great memories of the All-Ireland Choir of the Year competition and when we were approached by Tourism Ireland to reunite former participants to show the world that Ireland stands in solidarity with efforts to beat the global pandemic we were only too happy to get involved.”
